Announcing TongLe Parent Teacher Student Organization

We are delighted to announce the formation of TongLe Parent Teacher Student Organization (TongLe PTSO) a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Our Mission

TongLe PTSO is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization with the mission to prepare students to become global citizens of the future by amplifying the outcome of TongLe teaching, helping students excel in the Chinese language, and deepening their appreciation of the Chinese culture.

  • Enriching students' learning experience through activities outside of the classes
  • Enabling parents to share resources, ideas, and inspirations for supporting young learners
  • Providing a feedback channel to teachers to positively impact the teaching outcome
  • Promoting opportunities for students to apply their learning to serve the community
  • While TongLe PTSO and TongLe Chinese School serve many of the same students and families, TongLe PTSO is an entirely independent organization.

    TongLe PTSO

If you would like to support us, you can make tax-deductible donations to TongLe PTSO. You can also contribute your time by participating in our activities.

Volunteering is never something we do on the side, nor is it a side job. Each of us has a busy life of our own, and many of us are full-time mothers, yet we still choose to dedicate our valuable time to volunteer service instead of using it to work extra hours for more income or focusing only on our own small families. This is a proactive sense of responsibility and commitment, and also a meaningful way to contribute to and create value for our Chinese community.

Jessica Wang, President of the Second TongLe PTSO Board

Everything is for the children. Our perspectives may differ, but we seek common ground while reserving differences so that our children can learn Chinese well, grow in a healthy Chinese-speaking community, study with companions, and build strong cultural roots. Those cultural roots can touch the heart in an instant.

TongLe Chinese uses traditional classics as core teaching materials, allowing children to build a strong foundation in Chinese characters through sustained exposure to timeless texts.

Through extensive listening to classical literature, children absorb vocabulary and stories naturally. Learning alongside her child at TongLe, she has come to appreciate the richness and joy of classical Chinese as a family.
